Spellbinders Presto Punch Frequently Asked Questions: (discontinued)
Here are some Questions and Answers about the Spellbinders Presto Punch that may be helpful:
Will the Punch templates for Presto Punch work in regular manual die cutting machines such as the Wizard?
The Punch templates are manufactured differently than our standard dies. The cut edges on the
punch templates are different and could cause them to cut (and stick) into the plates of a manual die cut machine, damaging the mats and potentially dulling the cut edge of the punch template. We do not recommend that the Punch Templates be used with any manual die cutting machine.
Can Spellbinders die templates be used in the Presto Punch machine?
The punching mechanism of the Presto Punch machine is designed for using the templates that are a part of the Presto Punch line. However, Spellbinders dies that are under 2 in. in size could work in the Presto Punch Machine. Results will vary and are not guaranteed. The Presto Punch is not designed for use with die cuts only Presto Punch Templates.
Why isn't the Presto Punch designed for use with Spellbinder Die Templates?
The Presto Punch is a new tool designed as an alternative to traditional punches. Punch Templates are a great value and easier to store versus bulky, traditional punches. Thanks to their unique design, they emboss consistently without tearing paper or can emboss a shape on another punched shape. The Presto Punch machine offers automatic punching at the touch of a button and does not require the force of a traditional punch. It is also capable of accommodating thicker materials the most traditional punches cannot accommodate such as fun foam.
Spellbinders Paper Arts will continue to offer new innovative products in the die cutting category. If you currently use Spellbinders die templates in a manual die cut machine stay tuned as we continue to develop and offer new designs and solutions for die cutting.
What comes with the Presto Punch Machine?
The Presto Punch machine comes with 7 punch templates (shown below) covering popular punch
shapes. A Punch Booklet and Embossing Booklet are also included. Batteries or a power adapter are sold separately.
Here's a little more about Spellbinders if you haven't had enough...
Spellbinders Paper Arts moved into the craft and hobby industry in 2003 with the creation of the Wizard Universal Craft Tool in addition to a unique, patented bunch of Nestabilities die-cuts unlike any released before - or since. They were a fairly new emerging establishment that was responsible for much buzz among scrapbookers world wide and have continued to remain a huge trend setter within the card making industry. This valuable company provides products for consumers that like to scrapbook, make personalized card, stationary, envelopes, tags, create unique photo frames, and so much more. Spellbinders Paper Arts is a private business categorized under Arts and Crafts-Instruction and located in the hot part of the U.S. named Phoenix, Arizona. Now how was the astounding crafting small business born? Owner, Stacey Caron almost over about ten years ago had a love for paper crafting and looked for a universal die cutting system that could replace a few of her present craft instruments, which to her amaze she came right into a dead end. Therefore, with a bit of entrepreneurial spirit together with a husband who knew engineering and manufacturing, the Wizard die-cutting and embossing tool was conceived. And soon to follow with Stacey's designer attitude, die cuts and die templates soon followed that could be used in the Wizard product.
The Wizard Embossing and Die Cutting System was created as versatile craft machine together with all the first dies which Stacey originally designed to be put into it. The originality though as pointed out comes in that the die templates serve as a exceptional triple function. Simply put they could cut, emboss, and stencil. These were the very first of their class. Together with embossing, cutting, alphabet fonts, Spellbinders Paper Arts had released their business venture in to a well-known scrapbooking market place. However in 2007 there would be much more hype encircling the emerging craft vendor. Spellbinders were the first to unleash nesting dies or nesting diecuts and of course each die-cutting company hurried to follow. No company wanted to be left behind with this up and coming craze. To the scrapbooker he / she would call them Nestabilities. Spellbinders Nestabilities are different die cut designs at 1/4th and 1/8th inch increments that compose attractive scrap booking pages. These types of dies had become revolutionary within their own design and also performance. Something new had been born and all the sudden the use for large scrapbook punches was obsolete. These brand new scrap booking items had given a different way of the future for simple storage, easy use, and easy paper crafting. The actual Spellbinders Wizard product then became the innovative rave combined with the Nest Abilities. The rachet method as opposed to a rolling handle and nesting dies that can cut through many different crafting materials wound up becoming just the right arrangement for Stacey, founder and designer of Spellbinders. To deliver a product that would be perfect for those that have arthritic pain and hurts when die cutting and not have to roll from now on and amazing affordable shapes ended up being the objective and the dream that came true. It's very helpful to observe that the die cutting system is universal and works with all the other brands of dies (for instance Sizzix, Quickutz, Bosskut, Provocraft-Cuttlebug).
As being the current and what is coming for crafters by Spellbinders at present? Well... they've already partnered up with several rubber stamp businesses across the U.S. and into other international areas in order to coordinate exclusive dies with stamps based on each perspective business. Spellbinders remains the brand of Spellbinders Paper Arts, LLC, however with a contract between each rubber stamping business to create complementing dies with rubber stamps. This brand new and constructive motion has resulted in much more imagination than ever believed achievable and scrapbookers are swift to catch to this kind of new trend. Many at present appreciate using the two alongside one another in projects and can even embellish together with chalk and/or ink in order to color paper through the die.
Spellbinders has definitely become a trend setter from when they initially joined the industry in 2003 till current day. to their own credit this is very uncommon for any supplier to be setting these types of strong trends from the get go. What makes Spellbinders dies completely different from all of those other die-cutting organizations is they all cut, emboss, and stencil. The imagination is more essential than knowledge in relation to this business plus they still create amazing templates for craft enthusiasts across the world. Every one of these products continue to allow crafters, hobbyists, artists and educators to make one of a kind elegant paper art projects. While Spellbinders continues to make use of their own innovative patent technology to create more diecut designs of which crafters desire the question may possibly come up: Was it being in the right place at the perfect time? Or perhaps was it the correct market place? Could possibly it have been pure luck? Whatever it could be I'm certain Stacey would certainly agree that it was the eyesight and dream to make the entire world a more joyful place with the sharing of a greeting card, party invitation, or even scrapbooking page. And this ought to be the true meaning for any organization looking for the formula of achievement.
